Explore Joburg: Places to eat out

After spending years during my time at varsity partying up a storm at Kitcheners in Braamfontein, I never bothered to order food from the establishment until recently. 

 

^LM and I went to Braamfontein during lunch but most of the restaurants were closed as it was the first week of the New Year except for Kitcheners. 

To our surprise, we were reliably informed the establishment actually serves food, so we gingerly went in to check it out.

Our initial nervousness gave way to relief. We were glad we did try out the food. We ordered two gourmet burgers – I had the Danish burger and ^LM had the American version. Both of us were pleasantly surprised at how good the burgers and chips were. 

We now know that Kitcheners is not only good for its drinks and music, we can also have a filling and delicious meal there too. I saw some prawn and feta samosas that I’ll definitely be going back for soon.
