Fun galore at the Joburg Theatre

01-12-2014

If you want a bit of fun and a chuckle this festive season, then the Johannesburg Theatre is the place for you.

Tomorrow – Tuesday December 2 – Loyiso Gola, one of South Africa’s leading stand-up comedians and host of the popular Late Night News (LNN) comedy show on eNCA, will be back at The Mandela for a live stand-up show.

Also, for three weeks – from Friday December 5 to Sunday December 28 – The Mandela will host Janice Honeyman’s Peter Pan.

Audiences will stop growing up and start believing in fairies as they journey with Peter Pan, Tinker Bell, Wendy and her brothers to Neverland, where this swashbuckling adventure really begins!

Meet the lost boys, an Indian tribe, mermaids and fairies as well as the villainous Captain Hook, his bumbling sidekick Smee and remember to listen out for the monotonous tick-tock of the deadly crocodile!

Based on the classic tale by JM Barrie, this brand new production is an action-packed panto that’s fun for all the family!

Starring award-winning actor and television personality Craig Urbani and the irrepressible Idols favourite Bongi Mthombeni in his record-breaking fourth successive Joburg Theatre pantomime, the huge cast is packed with much of the greatest stage talent South Africa has to offer.

The show is brought to you by BankservAfrica, in association with M-Net, Jacaranda FM and Your Family magazine.

For tickets call 0861 670 670 or visit www.joburgtheatre.com.  For group bookings of 10 or more tickets, contact the theatre’s ticketing office on (011) 877 6853.
